Our Workshops

Albizia Workshop

Albizias can grow up to 15′ in one year and can fall during heavy rains or winds.
Hiring a Certified Arborist can be expensive if the Albizia becomes hazardous and could fall on your house, street, or powerline.
USDA Rural Development has grants and loans available to help pay for tree removal.

The Big Island Invasive Species Instructor will be covering the history, biology, treatment, technique, and methods to remove Albizias.
There will also be time to ask your questions.

Milestone will be available at cost. Let me know before Saturday if you need some?
3.5 ounce for $11 or 7 ounce for $22.

I’m attaching helpful information: Please share handouts with neighbors and friends

Tropical Gardening Class

We are very fortunate to have Bill Miller as our Instructor. Bill Miller is the past President of UH Master Gardeners Program and has extensive knowledge and experience teaching all aspects of gardening in Hawaii.

The Tropical Gardening Class will focus on growing edible crops, soil, fertilizers, pest control, and resources.

Write your 1 most important question on a small piece of paper and turn it in when you sign in. Bill will take the time to answer as many as possible.

He is also offering starter plants and a door prize.

We are limited to 50 students so please let us know if you will be attending.
The class is free, but this is a grassroots effort and we would appreciate donations.

I’m attaching a Master Gardener Class and Resource handout filled with useful information and links.
